1 cup Masoor dal (preferably soaked in water for 1/2 hour to an hour), 1 small onion chopped, 1 medium tomato, 1 Cinnamon stick, Turmeric powder (1/2 tsp), Red chilli powder (1 tsp), Ginger/garlic paste/crushed, Garam masala/Meat masala, Coconut Onion masala 3-4 tsp, Salt as per taste, Lemon juice.Procedure:
In a pressure pan, heat the oil. Add Cinnamon stick and then the chopped onion and fry till light brown. Add cut tomato, and ginger garlic paste, then add the Onion Coconut masala and fry for 5 minutes. Add turmeric pwd, chilli powder, Garam masala/Meat masala and the soaked Masoor dal along with some water to cover the lentils. Pressure cook till the Dal is done. Alternatively you can cook the lentils seperately and add to the above masala. Masoor dal/red lentil curry is ready to enjoy with Hot Paratha/Phulka/Rice.
