Toor Dal with Spring Onion, Tomato and Garlic Tadka

Toor Dal - 1 cup, cooked, Tempering (oil - 3 tsp, mustard seeds -1 tsp, asofoetida - a pinch, cumin - 1 tsp), Spring Onions chopped (both white and green part) - 1/2 cup, Tomato chopped - 1 medium, Turmeric - 1/2 tsp, Red chilli powder - 1 tsp, Garlic cloves chopped - 3, Water - 1 cup, Lemon Juice - 1 tsp, Salt to taste.
Cook Toor dal in a pressure cooker and mash it after its cool with 1 cup water. Heat oil in a kadai and add tempering ingredients (mustard seeds, asofoetida, jeera), add garlic, spring onion and tomato, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and cook till everything is soft. Then add mashed dal, salt and lemon juice. Your delicious dal is ready to eat with Roti/phulka/rice.
