Mixed Dal Pakoda

Winter is coming. The chill is in the air. Trying to cope by indulging in fried food :) Try this simple recipe to drive away the winter blues....... 
1/2 cup channa dal, 1/2 cup yellow moong dal, 1/4 cup urad dal, 1/4 cup green moong dal, Cumin seeds 2 tsp, Ginger - 1 inch, Garlic - 3/4 pods, 3-4 hot green chillies, Chopped cilantro  - 1/4 cup, Salt to taste, Oil for deep frying.
Wash dals and soak them separately. Grind the above soaked dals with ginger, garlic, green chillies, and cumin seeds. Add chopped Cilantro leaves to it. Mix into a smooth paste and add salt as per taste. Heat oil in a kadai/pan. I always drop batter with small spoon into the oil. Its less messy and pakoras come out uniform in size. Fry till light brown. Serve with ketchup or chutney. Tastes even better with a cup of piping hot tea!
